Shoe disinfection with long-term effect for optimum hygiene

Almost everyone who wears trainers or work shoes for long periods knows the problem. It no longer smells good. Rather: it smells. The odor can no longer be removed by simple cleaning. And the whole thing is not just an aesthetic problem, but also a hygienic one. But what can you do? Shoe disinfection can be helpful here. The disinfectant is supported by its long-term effect of up to 10 days.

The fight against unpleasant odors - why is shoe disinfection useful?

There are a particularly large number of sweat glands on the soles of the feet. When shoes are worn for long periods of time, perspiration creates a warm and humid environment in the shoe. The sweat itself smells neutral at first. However, it is decomposed by bacteria and this is where the odor problem begins. The warm and humid environment also provides an excellent breeding ground for fungi and bacteria. They can cause nasty infections. Another good reason to take action. Unfortunately, airing or cleaning only helps to a very limited extent.
Professional disinfection destroys viruses, fungi and other pathogens. This not only prevents athlete’s foot and other infections. The unloved odor also disappears.

Which shoes should be disinfected?

Disinfection is advisable for all shoes that are used regularly. However, it is particularly recommended for closed shoes in which you sweat. These can be soccer boots, for example, as well as work shoes, sneakers, rubber boots or sneakers.

Shoe disinfection - how do I disinfect my shoes properly?

  1. For professional shoe disinfection, go outside, as you should never inhale the vapors produced.
  2. Spray the inside of the shoes as recommended for the individual product, for example with 5 strokes of the sprayer.
    Allow the shoes to air out a little before bringing them back into the house.
  3. For frequently used shoes, we recommend disinfecting up to three times a week.
  4. Caution: Always ensure adequate ventilation! Avoid any skin contact! Do not allow disinfectants to get into the hands of children! Keep disinfectants away from fire! Do not smoke! Store the disinfectant in an intact container in a safe place!

How can I protect the shoes optimally?

Our tip for optimum protection of your shoes is to seal them. This protects the shoe from moisture penetration.
If you want to protect your shoes optimally, you should first clean them, then disinfect them and then seal them. Whether leather or textile shoes, you will find a solution for every application on our website.

Can be used on all surfaces. For questionably sensitive surfaces, we recommend a resistance test on an inconspicuous area. Store only in a closed container. Store in a cool and dry place.

The container can only be recycled when it is completely empty. Do not use after the expiry date. Dispose of in accordance with local and official regulations.
