Wood impregnation – natural wood protection based on silane

Our wood impregnation is a ready-to-use silane-based impregnation system. It stabilizes the lignin and thus significantly protects the wood from greying. Its hydrophobic properties prevent unwanted moisture and dirt from penetrating the wood.

Suitable for: Wood, walkways, carports, window sills, garden sheds, garden furniture, construction timber, facades, planters, terraces, fences and much more.

• Consumption: 1 liter is sufficient for approx. 30 – 40 m² (depending on the substrate)
• The application is preferred for vertical wooden surfaces above (wooden fences, … ) and below the turf (wooden posts)

Preparation:

• Shake vigorously for 1 minute before use.
• The surfaces to be treated must be clean, completely dry and dust-free and must not have been pre-treated with other coatings.
• Contamination caused by paint, grease, oil or organic growth (algae, lichen, moss) must be removed in advance.

Application:

• Recommended method: The product should preferably be sprayed on using a sprayer/low pressure pump sprayer.
• Adjust the distance to the surface to the strength of your sprayer.
• The surface should give an even, damp-wet impression.
• Alternative: Application with a brush/roller is possible, but should be tested on a small area beforehand. Avoid the formation of puddles!

Processing:

• Spray at least twice on the surface to be treated to achieve optimum coverage.
• Depending on the absorbency of the substrate and the requirements, this process can be repeated after the first coat has dried.
• If too much product has been applied to a surface, it can be removed with a damp cloth while it is still wet.
• The tools used should be cleaned with plenty of water after use.

Drying time:

• Leave the product on for at least 30 minutes.
• The complete curing time is approx. 6 – 12 hours.
• During this time, the surface should remain dry and not be subjected to stress.

Care and cleaning of the impregnated surface:

• Clean surfaces only with water or a light organic cleaner, e.g. our BIOSATIVA® organic cleaner – 100% natural – 100% organic.
• Aggressive cleaning agents (chemical cleaners, scouring pads, etc.) are not required and would impair the protective function.
• Regular gentle cleaning and care leads to longer durability and a long-lasting beautiful appearance.

Storage:

• Store in a dry and frost-free place at 5 – 25°C.
• Stable for at least 24 months in the unopened original container if stored properly.
