About liquid glass technology

Nanotechnology from Germany

Protective film made of silicon dioxide molecules (SiO₂), invisible 100 nanometers thin

Improves appearance, durability and service life

The lotus effect: moisture rolls off, dirt can no longer stubbornly adhere

Ecologically harmless and non-toxic

Made from natural resources, chemical cleaners become superfluous – that protects users and the environment!

Simple application

After thorough preliminary cleaning, the liquid glass is applied with a brush, roller, cloth or as a pump spray. Curing – done!

What is liquid glass?

Liquid glass is a compound of glass molecules, silicon dioxide (SiO₂). Silicon is a mineral that is extracted from pure quartz sand and makes up around 15% of the earth’s mass. A raw material that occurs naturally in enormous quantities.

Silicon is also the core substance of conventional glass – which, from a physical point of view, is a mineral liquid that hardens transparently after extreme heat.

However, the new liquid glass is already liquid at room temperature – a groundbreaking development in German nanotechnology. Researchers there have developed a method of extracting silicon dioxide molecules in extremely fine resolution from quartz sand and then mixing them with water or alcohol. Additional nanoparticles or other substances are not required. After the liquid mixture is applied, the solvent evaporates and a protective glass layer remains.

The glass layer is around 100 nanometers thick – around 500 times as thin as a human hair – and is therefore invisible and imperceptible.

Electrostatic forces ensure that the silicon molecules form stable structures. They are therefore firmly connected to their base and cannot be easily removed.

A simple mechanical effect causes the special properties: Nothing can be held on the nano-smooth surface, nothing sticks, nothing sticks.

Liquid glass adheres to almost all shapes and materials.

Depending on the absorbency of the surface, it is absorbed or adhered. Concrete surfaces, terrace floors, kitchens, bathrooms, glasses or even plants or works of art – the new glass offers invisible, non-toxic, biologically harmless protection. Like the related household glass, the liquid glass layer is resistant to irritating substances such as acids or solvents and is chemically inert.

This gives you the opportunity to protect your belongings from external influences and to maximize the service life of the objects.

But an SiO2 coating can do more: it is flexible, scratch-resistant, breathable, long-lasting, heat-resistant, anti-microbial, has anti-stick properties and is easy to clean. The surfaces can thus be protected from moisture, dirt, wear and tear and unwanted changes. Chemical cleaners become superfluous – this not only protects the material, but also the environment and the user.

Liquid glass can be used universally in all areas of work – be it in the automotive industry, aviation, gastronomy, industry or medicine. All divisions are up Cleanliness, precision and a long shelf life Your work environment.

And more and more private customers protect what is important to them with liquid glass.
